Pittsburgh 07
19 09 2007Day 1
Day one included the great 3 and 1/2 hour drive down to greater Pittsburgh. It is important to realize what a great, beautiful city Pittsburgh really is. We stopped at a McDonalds and the trash talking began. A women told me my mini Lee Evans jersey should go on my Barbie. The grand bridges along the perfect lake in the shadow of PNC Park and Heinz Field on the rolling hills is absolutely perfect. We arrived at our hotel, the Suite, with plenty of excitement. The room was smaller than expected but still great. The mood lighting above the bed was great for created a sexy environment. We dove right into the Yankees game which was not good because of the brutal beating they took. Luckily by the end of the weekend they got their revenge. We then went out to dinner at a local establishment. I couldn’t help but feel like we were being discriminated against by our waitress because we were bills fans. She just didnt seem to be paying attention our needs. We had an annoying corn husker fan next to us who couldnt stop clapping which didnt make sense cause they got destroyed by USC. We then took the party to drinks at SOHO. He was a very hip environment where we had to beat the women off with a stick. It was then quitting time as we got rest in anticipation for precipitation Sunday at Heinz Field.
Sunday Day 2
Sunday started with the unusually loud air conditioner which apparently kept father up. We went down stairs to get the wonderful free breakfast provided by the hotel. I enjoyed a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich with a little waffle and some trix yogurt. It was very very good. We then headed out to church to see Father Rick and his lovely wife Karen. You know your day is not gonna be good when a priest prays for your safety personally during mass. When that was over we headed back to the hotel to dress for the big game. The handwarmers and jerseys were on and we head into the see of black and gold. People did not say much to us except for not understanding why we came. The stadium is breathtaking and the Heinz free sample chicken is delicious. It is design how a stadium should be. It is very open and right on the water front. The giant ketchup bottles that pour into the screen when the steelers are in the red zone is so cool. The guys behind us were cool guys were didnt make anything personal while they were ripping us. Hot dogs, pop, and a beer were almost 30 dollars, no bueno!!! A nice man in his car said, HEY BUFFALO, NICE FIELD GOAL!!!!! After the trashing we headed back to the hotel where we geared up for the late games. Carson Palmer got me 56 fantasy points and the denver broncos made my heart stop. Its a good thing the polish thunder Janikowski is a head case. We then went to dinner at the Outback inside PNC Park. The food was great and the view was better. It must of been wear you Steelers jersey to work everywhere in Pittsburgh cause everyone was rockin the throwbacks. When dinner was over we went back to the hotel to watch the pats crush the bolts, and DEREK JETER take the yanks inside of 5 games back of the sox. We then enjoyed, “Dick in a Box,” and then got some sleep, but not before “Mikey liked his mix.”
Monday Day 3
Monday was just more of the same there cheese dick. We got breakfast that was once again really really good. We then headed home from a great trip!~~

Rant time
14 09 2007
I have officially reached my breaking point. If you are one of those jerk face football fans who happens to live in Buffalo but is not a Bills fan, then you might want to switch your channel now. If you are not a Bills fan than that is fine but don’t shove it in my face that I am a fan. Don’t try and make me feel like less of a person because I have a passion for my team. Yes I know the Bills haven’t been good for a while but that doesn’t mean that I can’t support them. I love my team as if they were a family member. Yes they are going to play pittsburgh this weekend, and pittsburgh is a good team. It is going to be tough to win, for sure. They will probably have a tough time beating such a good team but you know what that is no reason to give up, to throw in the towel. Maybe they catch the steelers overlooking them, who knows. This is the NFL and the great thing about that is that anything can happen any given sunday. I don’ t need to hear the Brad Riter radio show where his topic is, call in and tell me how the Bills possibly win this sunday cause he couldnt figure out how. What a positive subject from such a positive guy who is supposed to have season tickets. Im not talking about being a homer. No one is saying that the Bills are winning the Super Bowl or even making the playoffs. Im only talking about support. There is a real jerk in one of my classes. The topic of me going to pittsburgh was brought up. He says its gonna be ugly. I said they might win, you never know. He starts laughing and tells me to be realistic. Thats the kind of crap im talking about. That in itself fired me up. I want the Bills to win just so they and I can shove it in his smug little face. I would like to thank him cause I was so so about going to pittsburgh, now im pumped. The same kid says last week friday that the bills can’t compete with denver and its gonna be over before it starts. He is not a mean person, he is just not a Bills fan, so of course like everyone else he treats them like crap. Today he says, oh you have to admit that game was ugly. If JP Losman hits Evans on the bomb or Elam misses, he takes it up the tailpipe. Even with the loss they were in the lead for the first 59:59 so its not like they Broncos were soooo much better and they could compete. Everyone is saying that they have been walking around in a daze all week cause of what happened to Kevin. Maybe its the opposite, maybe they are totally focused about going out and getting a win for him. This isnt a guarantee. Im not trying to be Joe Namath, Mike Hart, or Ben Wallace. I believe in my team and know they can do anything they set their mind to. So go ahead, pick against them, put your whole life savings on it. You might win, but maybe, just maybe, the Buffalo Bills show up at Heinz Field Sunday and walk out with a win. Its that kind of pride and faith that make me proud to call myself a Bills fan!!!!

Week 15: @ CLEVELAND BROWNS
5 09 2007There are 5 days between now and the start of the 2007 Buffalo Bills Season. Once a week we will be previewing each game.
Date: December 16th, 2007
Time: 1:00 pm TV: CBS RADIO: 97 Rock, The Edge
Location: Cleveland Browns Stadium (Cleveland, OH)
All time series : CLEVELAND 5-8
Last Meeting: 2004 @ BUF BUF 37-7
Browns Key Additions: QB Brady Quinn (R), OT Joe Thomas(R), RB Jamal Lewis, OG Eric Steinbech
Browns Key Losses: WR Dennis Northcutt
Breakdown:It looks like a late season northeast matchup between the bills and browns. This could be a real dog game but if the Bills are where I think they will be this will be a must win. They should be right in the playoff and it looks like Brady Quinn will be in charge of the Browns at this time. Cleveland is very much a rebuilding team and have a lot of pieces in place. Look for them to be a real contender in ‘08 but not ‘07. Look for the Buffalo Offense to take over in this matchup.
Prediction: Bills 34-10
